Sheffield Community Transport - Collective Travel
 

Sheffield Community Transport (SCT) operates a large fleet of minibuses from nine to sixteen seats. Most are equipped with passenger lifts and have easy access.

The vehicles are available for use by local community groups at non-profit making rates and can be used for a wide range of activities. The vehicles may be used for short and long-distance trips.

All groups are required to register with SCT prior to booking and this is a straightforward process which can be carried out very quickly. Comprehensive conditions of hire are given to all groups.

We encourage all groups to provide their own drivers although we do recognize that this is not always easy. We do therefore have a number of volunteer drivers who are willing to assist until such time as a group can find their own driver. Volunteers receive out of pocket expenses.

Bookings may be made well in advance of the trip and although the minibuses can normally only be hired for a long weekend, longer periods can be accommodated by arrangement.

All drivers of SCT Group Travel minibuses are volunteers and have successfully undertaken an assessment under the MiDAS scheme.

We maintain all our vehicles to the highest standards and all comply with Section 19 Minibus Permit Regulations.
