Shopper Bus services in Sheffield provide links between local communities and opportunities for shopping and personal business, such as a visit to a First Point office, library or bank.
It is not possible to list every part of Sheffield so if your area is not listed please call to check which services apply to you.
All passengers will have the option of two services a week; one to a local supermarket and one to the city centre or a neighbourhood centre.
Where it has not been possible to provide a direct journey to the city centre, passengers will be taken to either Hillsborough or Crystal Peaks to access the Supertram network. A later return journey will be available for those who choose to do this. This is shown in the timetable as ‘later return available’.
The fare is £1.50 per person, per return journey, or £1 per person for a single (one-way) journey. Concessionary passes are NOT valid on these services – everyone must pay a fare.
You are welcome to bring along a companion to travel with you. Please note that companions must also pay the fare.
The services are operated using fully accessible minibuses, and a maximum of two wheelchairs or scooters can be carried on each bus. The drivers will provide assistance from your doorstep to the vehicle and make sure that you board the bus and are carried safely. Seatbelts are provided and must be worn by all passengers, including those travelling in a wheelchair. Passengers who bring scooters must transfer from the scooter to a bus seat to travel.
Bookings may be made up to seven days in advance, or up to 12:30 on the day before you wish to travel. The booking line number is 0114 276 6148 and is available Monday to Friday between 0900 and 1230.
If the Shopper Bus service doesn’t meet your needs, alternative services are available. Please see the City Ride or Community Car Scheme pages.
You need to register (pdf or word) with SCT first in order to use the Shopper Bus service.
